Salvation Army Stocking Stuffers
The Salvation Army has a long and notable history of helping local communities through a variety of means. Around this time of the year, their Christmas programs are in full swing. Some of their more well known efforts would be: Red Kettle Campaign, Angel Tree, Food Drive, Dress-A-Bear Program, and Stocking Stuffers.
This year, St. James’ Parish Church coordinated with the Salvation Army to assist in the Stocking Stuffers program. This particular effort involves filling mesh stockings (provided by the salvation army) for boys and girls of all ages. This helps to add a little dose of Christmas joy for needy children.
Complete Home Solutions was thrilled to be a part of this great cause! We put up bags all around our office for every group of children (Girl – Age 6-8, Boy – Age 2-3, etc) and encourage everyone to contribute something. By December 4th we had loads of full bags that we were able to drop off at the church.
The attitude of the people working there at the church only added to the experience. They were friendly, helpful, and so grateful for every little contribution. It was an extremely rewarding experience all in all, but it also filled our hearts to think of a child waking up to something special this Christmas.
