Before We Got Started
This is what the attic looked like when our crew began. The insulation was not close to the levels needed, as well as an open seam along the far exterior wall that was allowing air to enter the home behind the siding. Our Technicians had their work cut out for them.
Installing Baffles
The next step is installing baffles. The baffles allow for proper airflow above the insulation, while also allowing our crew to blow insulation to the furthest points of the attic.
Spray Foam Added to Exterior Wall
This home had an uninsulated exterior wall that had gaps for air to enter. Our solution to this problem was to apply our two-part closed cell spray foam. This would insulate and seal the wall and help eliminate direct elements from getting into the attic.
Improving the Super Deck
The super deck in this attic needed to be adjusted to accommodate the new levels of insulation.
Blown in Cellulose Insulation
Finally comes the cellulose insulation. We blow in 16 inches of brand new cellulose to properly insulated your home from the top down.
Final Steps
The final step is to install a new pull-down stair cover. This tent is insulated and keeps air from leaking through the seam in the pull-down stair assembly.
