He wanted us to check how airtight his house was. We were able to come out in April and perform a home energy audit. What we found out ended up making a huge difference.

We recommended that we treat the attic access hatch, caulking framing joints and installing weather stripping around the cover, while insulating the area with 4" of polyiso foam board. With this we would be able to properly air seal the attic. After that, we recommended that Robert install TruSoft Cellulose insulation in order to bring his insulations to R-49 (recommended by BPI standards for our climate zone). We also recommended air ceiling the interior wall and ceiling penetrations, as well as sealing his entire duct system.

After making our recommendations we went ahead and made the proper adjustments throughout the house.
