Crawl Space Encapsulation in Derwood, MD

Challenge

This crawl space was not sealed, allowing hot air to creep in all summer long and colder temperatures in the winter. This was making it harder for the homeowners to remain comfortable in their home, no matter how much they adjusted their A/C or heat 

Solution

Following a call to Complete Home Solutions, our Home Comfort Specialist recommended a full crawl space encapsulation. On job day our crew started by removing all of the older insulation from the crawl, the next step was to clean the mold off of the beams with our mold removing chemical. After that our CleanSpace 20mm vapor barrier was laid to create a smooth and clean  floor in the crawl space helping to keep out dirt, water, and critters. The final step was the spray foam insulation on the walls to create a closed encapsulated crawl space that transformed from a nasty moldy area under the home, to one that is now fully functional.
