Timothy was embarking on a home renovation that would take his sunroom with traditional 8 ft ceilings and not much natural light, to a gorgeous space with high vaulted ceilings, which involved removing the separate attic above the original space. During the renovation, Timothy called Complete Home Solutions to talk about the insulation for the new areas to make sure it stays comfortable regardless of the outside temperature.  After weighing the options and cost, Timothy decided to have our two-part closed-cell spray foam applied to all the exterior walls before they were finished with drywall. Once the two-part foam is sprayed too a surface it hardens to a solid 2-3 inch insulation that creates a barrier that keeps air from penetrating into a space, as well as keeping conditioned air in. Timothy's new space is now finished and he could not be appier with how comfortable his new sunroom is.

Crawl Space Problems in Chesapeake Beach, MD

These homeowners living in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland only just recently purchased their house about a year ago. The previous homeowners had built a new addition onto the house, which seemed like an added bonus when they were first looking to buy. However, this addition was built on top of the crawl space, which had no insulation or air sealing. Needless to say, this new addition was freezing. Luckily the new homeowners stumbled upon Complete Home Solutions and had us come out to see if we could do anything about it. 

The crawl was a bit of a tight squeeze, but we managed to get under there enough so that we could properly seal it up. We used our spray foam to seal the crawl ceiling and laid out a vapor barrier across the floor. We also sealed up the exposed window that was letting cold air draft in from the outside. We are happy to announce that these upgrades have created a comfortable living space and a peace of mind for this young couple!
