Is your Ceiling Fan Spinning in the Right Direction for the Summer? Making sure you ceiling fan is spinning counter-clockwise in the summer can SAVE YOU MONEY! Having the fan spin counter-clockwise will push the cool air down towards the floor and make the circulating air feel up to 8 degrees cooler, without any help from the air conditioning unit. This can save you up to 40% on air conditioning costs, reduce your air conditioning use and make your home feel cooler during the warmer seasons.
Just remember, counter-clockwise in the summer and clockwise in the winter. To change the direction of your ceiling fan: make sure it is off, then locate the switch on the top of the fan(usually on the motor housing unit of the fan), and finally Flip The Switch! If not call us at Complete Home Solutions and we will have one of our Handyman service providers come out to switch the fan as soon as possible!
