Nathaniel called Complete Home Solutions for one of our Home Energy Audits after he had noticed the temperature in the second floor was much different than the temperature on the first floor. The Audit examines multiple factors of your home to determine ways you could keep it more comfortable, as well as help it run more efficiently. Following the audit, our Home Comfort Specialist determined that a big cause of the uncomfortable upstairs temperatures was due to the condition of the attic. On the day of the installation, our Home Comfort Technicians worked their magic once again, air sealing any cracks in the attic floor, and around any recessed light that would be allowing heat to escape and cold air to make its way in. They then blew in a new layer of Cellulose insulation that would create a barrier in the attic that traps the warm air where it belongs, in the home, not the attic.

This Colonial style home in Laurel, Maryland was suffering from drafts and high energy bills.

Our Auditor performed a home energy audit to determine where the home was leaking air. The Procution Crew provided air sealing to prevent any future air leakage. They also put insulation covers, and air sealed around all the recessed lights to make the home more comfortable and efficient.

This homeowner in Welcome, Maryland called Complete Home Solutions to have a free home audit to find the source of the cold drafts and uncomfortable temperatures in their home. Our Auditor determined that the source of the problem was insufficient insulation in the attic.

Our Production Team provided blow in cellulose insulation to solve the uncomfortable temperatures and cold drafts in the home.

This home in Greenbelt, MD was suffering from the heat in summer and the home's Air Conditioning just couldn't keep up!  After completion of a Home Energy Audit our Home Comfort Specialist found that this home's attic was not properly air sealed nor was the insulation up to recommended code. To fix this our production crew went in and first Air Sealed all the top plates, the gable wall, and around any recessed light fixtures. Once everything was air sealed our crew then blew in Cellulose Insulation until it reached the recommended R-Value! Now the homeowner is nice and cool!

Cold and drafty rooms are no fun for anyone. These homeowners decided to be proactive and get their attic weatherized before it started getting really cold. Of course, Complete Home Solutions was more than happy to help them in this effort. 

We took a few different measures in order to take care of this attic (air sealing, insulating, etc). Pictured here specifically is how we treated the skylight. The way the skylight was insulated before was not really doing much of anything. When we performed our initial home energy audit, our home comfort specialist found that the skylight did indeed have bad air leakage (making it a source for discomfort in the home). We took care of this by replacing the old insulation with new closed cell spray foam insulation (which air seals at the same time). This skylight won't be leaking any more air!
