New Crawl Space Insulation in Arnold, MD

This homeowner living in Arnold, Maryland was facing a very serious dilemma. He knew that winter was coming and he knew that it was supposed to be a cold one. The coldest one in a while, actually. He wasn't sure if he was going to be able to make it through with they way his house was (rooms always cold, freezing hardwood floors, etc). He had gotten an estimate with Complete Home Solutions a couple of months before, but wasn't sure if he was ready to make the committment. After taking some time to think about it, he decided to take the plunge!

Thank goodness he did, because we made some changes that were a big deal. As you can see in the picture, the insulation and radiant barrier in the crawlspace were wrecked! The first thing we did was to rip those up and out of there. We air sealed all over, including along the rim joists, vents, and cracks. We then installed some fiberglass batt insulation and a new radiant vapor barrier. Now Mr. Homeowner is ready for winter!

Crawl Space Insulation in Annapolis, Md

This homeowner in Annapolis, Maryland was having a problem with rooms getting drafty and cold in the winter and hot and sticky in the summer, particularly in the master bedroom. They suspected that their crawl space was the main issue and called Complete Home Solutions to come out and check.

We came and performed a home energy audit to figure out what we could to fix the situation. What we did was remove the existing foam board and insulation that was already down in the crawl space because they were no longer doing their job. Afterwards, we performed a CleanSpace Encapsulation System with Closed Cell Spray Foam Insulation on the walls and rim joists. We then sprayed 2" of closed cell spray foam on the walls and rim joists to create an airtight break! This resulted in lower humidity in the summer, warmer floors and less drafts in the winter, and an overall more comfortable home with lower utility bills as a bonus!

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Annapolis, MD

This homeowner in Abell, MD was experiencing high utility bills and couldn't figure out why. They called us, Complete Home Solutions to figure out why this was happening. Our Home Comfort Specialist found that the homeowner's crawl space had some old and damaged lining. This means that she was losing energy, from trying to keep the home comfortable. Air from the outside was moving freely into her home from the crawl space area. We recommended a full crawl space encapsulation to help fix her issue!

Our Home Comfort Technicians ending up taking out the damaged lining out and any old insulation. They then proceeded in sealing up the vents and penetration into the crawl space and performed our CleanSpace Encapsulation. This made a huge difference! Just look how clean that crawl space looks now, you could eat off the floor.

The homeowner no longer needs to fight the uncomfortable temperatures in their home and a bonus is that their family is breathing in cleaner and healthier air.

Crawl Space Insulation in Annapolis, MD

The crawl space plays a very important role in the comfort of your home. This is where cold air seeps into your house from, bringing along with it all of the unhealthy air that has been accumulating down there. As you can imagine, if it's left untreated, there can be a lot of potential consequences to your health as well as to your house. This homeowner knew that he couldn't take on the task of treating his crawl space on his own, so he hired an expert to do it for him.

Our home comfort specialist (as well as our crew) was eager to help this homeowner. Treating this crawl space mainly involved applying caulk, foam board, and spray foam for air sealing and installing a vapor barrier. All of this was done to create a healthier and more comfortable home - mission accomplished!

Crawl Space Air Sealed in Annapolis, MD

This homeowner had a crawl space underneath his house that was very poorly treated. What did this mean for him? Cold rooms, higher electric bills, and poor indoor air quality. He called out our home comfort specialist to provide some solutions on how to help with this situation.

Based on our home visit, we determined that the most effective way to treat this crawl space was to install a vapor barrier and air seal the walls with closed cell spray foam. These measures would stop undesirable air from leaking into the living area (which is what was ultimately causing those issues listed before). This homeowner can now enjoy healthy, happy, and comfortable living in their home.
