Crawl Space Insulation Before & After Photos

This Ranch style home in Deale,Maryland was suffering from High Energy bills, and cold spots in the winter months.

Our Auditor performed a full energy assessment to determine where the home was leaking air. The Procution crew provided air sealing to prevent future air leakage. They also encapsulated the crawl space to lower the homeowner's energy bills, and improve the overall comfort of the home.

This homeowner had a very nasty crawl space living under his house. Nasty crawl spaces can lead to a number of problems. In the wintertime, cold air swoops in and up into your living area, bringing all of that dirty bacteria and VOCs with it. In the summertime, humidity builds up under there and seeps into the house (potentially leading to mold, structural problems, etc). We can fix this by sealing off the crawl space. We do this by installing a vapor barrier across the floor and applying spray foam insulation all along the walls and any openings. This client now has a cleaner, healthier home.

This new homeowner in Shady Side, MD needed some quick repairs to their crawl space.  Their move-in date was one week away.  Our home comfort specialist, Merv, was able to meet with them quickly and get their project on the schedule to help meet their move-in schedule.  The home had areas where the crawl space insulation was falling from the ceiling.  Our crews installed the netting over these areas to keep the insulation from falling and making sure that the ceiling was insulated.

This family was happy to move in with their improved crawl space!  Comfort levels will be increased especially with fall and winter coming soon - and the homeowners won't have cold floors for their first winter in this new home for them!

This client of ours recently had a custom home built in North Beach, Maryland. They wanted to make sure that everything was done right from the beginning. Part of that involved having the crawl space properly encapsulated. They knew that this would prevent cold floors, funky smells, and excess humidity from arising. 

Because they wanted the job done right, they hired Complete Home Solutions. We encapsulated the crawl space, utilizing some great products such as the vapor barrier, SilverGlo foam board, and spray foam insulation. This customer will have a nice, comfortable house to move into. 

This home in Chesapeake Beach, MD sits right on the water and the fiberglass insulation in the crawl space was getting wet and starting to fall down from the joists.  This caused the insulation to lose its R-value. To fix this our production crew went in and removed all of the old, wet fiberglass insulation and replaced it with new insulation. Once the new insulation was installed, foam board was then screwed in to protect and act as a barrier for the insulation from water and moisture.  This crawl space is much healthier and dryer now.  The rigid foam foam doesn't absorb water, support mold or allows air to pass through!
